I’m sure we’ve all seen in the media Dubai featured in many travel shows and documentaries showing a city in UAE which has shown astronomical growth in just the last few years.
The City of Dubai was founded in 1833 but only recently has the growth accelerated from a City where in 1968 only 13 cars were registered to the present day where exotic cars are common place and almost 3 million cars registered at the last count. Fuel is not much more expensive than water
From an unassuming fishing village in 1833, it wasn’t until the 1970’s that it started to develop into the desert metropolis that it is today.

Many Brits are now calling Dubai home and I know a couple enjoying life in this amazing city. Growing at such a rapid rate does generate many opportunities. However, beware as entry into and working in Dubai is not all plain sailing. Work visas are expensive and somewhat limited in time. If you’re up for the challenges and qualify it could be paradise.
